Privacy

On the server, if you join

• Email, name, and a password hash, so you can sign in.
• A session cookie on this site. It is how the sign-in stays yours.
• The profile you publish: age, city, words, prompts, and whether you affirmed that you are 18 or older.
• The name you signed on the waiver, and when you signed it.
• Likes, passes, blocks, and messages between matches.
• Quality notes sent through your family link, and the names you allow to speak.
• Family emails you type, so myAQ can send those people one qualities survey. A reply, if they write back, goes to your email. The address is removed when you delete the account. It is not a mailing list.
• Reports you file, or that are filed about a profile, so the room can be kept small.

Only on this device

The household notebook — the log, the week, the money, the notes — stays in this browser. Matches cannot see it. myAQ does not receive it. Sample faces and the practice qualities for Jonah stay in this browser too, until you create an account.

Who can see a profile

A published profile in Illinois is visible to people using Discover. This beta does not list anyone outside Illinois. An unpublished draft is not listed. Messages are visible to the two matched people. Quality notes are public only after you let that person speak. A block hides you from each other.

No sale

myAQ does not sell personal information. It does not share profiles with advertisers. It does not run criminal background checks.

Delete it

On your profile, download a copy of the account, the profile, the messages, the likes, the quality notes, and the reports you filed. Delete the account when you want it gone. Deletion removes the sign-in, the profile, the likes, the messages with you, and the blocks. A safety report stays, without the email, so a deleted account cannot erase a report of harm. The household notebook on this device remains until you clear this browser. There is no sales list to opt out of, because none is kept.

Children

myAQ is not for anyone under 18. Do not send a child's name, photo, school, or address. A report is not a place to store one.
